Tbilisi is one of the cheapest capitals you'll ever sightsee ~ the fortress, cathedral, and old town cost nothing, transport is pocket change, and the only real splurge is a private sulfur bath room.

Holy Trinity Cathedral (Sameba)

One of the tallest Orthodox cathedrals in the world, gleaming gold over the whole city. Sunset light on the facade is spectacular from the Avlabari side.

Old Town & Leaning Clock Tower

Gabriadze's crooked clock tower puts on a tiny angel show at noon and 7 pm. Wander the carved wooden balconies of Sololaki before they're all renovated.
